Monte dos Reis is a newly built (2008) holiday home with all contemporary comforts, but in which as many old Portuguese elements as possible have been brought back. The grounds are 1 hectare. It is located in the quiet eastern Algarve at a 20-minute walk from the village of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, in a "biblical" looking valley, on a country road where a few cars and a few tractors pass by every day.
Besides that, it is close to larger, interesting places; the beach is 15 km away, you do need a car. "Monte dos Reis is the ideal place for a "de-stress" holiday. The place itself still has two old uninhabited farmhouses, one of which can be used as an outdoor dining area in the ruins. There is also plenty to discover close to the house: hiking, in other words!

Living area
(No smoking in the house please)This is on the ground floor with an open-plan kitchen, a dining/sitting room (40 m2) and a utility room.
There is air conditioning and heating through an inverter. And a wood-burning stove is available.
Directly adjacent to the house are several terraces, so a comfortable spot can be found at any sun position.
On the first floor is also the large roof terrace (30 m2) with even more beautiful views of the valley.
Bedrooms (max. 6 pers.)
On the ground floor is the "blue" room, with two single beds. The bathroom with WC, washbasin and large walk-in shower belongs to this room.
On the first floor is the large "master" bedroom with a double bed and also a cot 60 x 120 cm. This room has a private bathroom with WC, bidet, double sink and spacious walk-in shower. And a door to the roof terrace.
On the landing two more (190 x 80 cm.) beds can be put out. Here too there is a door to the roof terrace.
Bedding such as duvets and fitted sheets, towels and tea towels are provided.
Facilities
Kitchen: Gas cooker with oven and 4 gas rings, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine (filter), hand mixer, toaster and complete set of crockery for 6 people.
Utility room : Second fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave, electric oven, second sink.
Living room : Satellite TV (Astra 1), DVD/CD player with FM radio, wood-burning stove, Wifi available.
Swimming pool: Child-friendly pool with hot outdoor shower.
Terraces : Seating and sun loungers, parasols.
Rates for 2024:

Additional person: 15,- Euro p. day
Final cleaning: 75,- Euro
